This film is sold for show, exhibition, track and private-property use.

Applying film over a lighting or signalling device changes its photometric output and voids its type approval. In most countries this makes the vehicle non-compliant for road use. In the UK it is an MOT failure; in the United States legality varies by state and tinted headlights are prohibited in many of them; in Australia and Canada equivalent lighting standards apply.

PulirAuto does not certify road-legal compliance for any shade of this film, including the clear version. It is your responsibility to check the regulations that apply where you drive before using it on a public road. We would rather tell you before you buy than after.

Which size to choose

Order generously: it is better to trim than to come up two centimetres short.

• 30×100 cm — one pair of headlights on a hatchback or compact
• 30×120 cm — one pair of headlights on a saloon or SUV, or a pair of tail lights
• 30×200 cm — front and rear, or spare material for a second attempt

These are guidelines only — measure your lenses before ordering.

How to apply it

1. Clean and then degrease the lens thoroughly. This step determines how well it holds.
2. Make a paper template, then cut the film to size.
3. Wet the lens with soapy water so you can reposition the film.
4. Apply from one edge, pushing bubbles outward with a soft squeegee.
5. Leave for 24 hours before any contact with water.

Frequently asked questions

Is it road legal?
No. No shade of this film, including the clear version, is certified by PulirAuto for public road use. See the legal notice above.

Can it be removed without damaging the lens?
Yes on a smooth surface in good condition: warm it gently as you lift and pull slowly. Any adhesive residue comes off with a mild degreaser. On a headlight that is already oxidised or micro-cracked, removal may pull away polycarbonate particles.

How long does it last?
Applied carefully to a degreased surface, several years under normal outdoor conditions. Applied to a poorly prepared surface it lifts within weeks: preparation matters more than the product.

Can I cut it to the exact shape of the lens?
Yes, with scissors or a precision knife. Always make a paper template first.

What if bubbles remain?
Small water bubbles disappear on their own as they dry over a few days. Air bubbles are pushed out with the squeegee during application, while the film is still wet.

Does it work on tail lights and fog lights?
The application is technically identical. The same legal restrictions apply.
